Solomon Airlines has re-started full operation of its Honiara to Santa Cruz services.
The resumption of flights follows the airline’s decision to suspend its twice-weekly service on 14 March citing land dispute issues.
A Solomon Airlines spokesperson said the decision to resume the flights followed the receipt of letters from both the Santa Cruz landowners and the Santa Cruz Police advising the landowners were keen to see a full resumption of air services as soon as possible.
The Santa Cruz Police has also guaranteed security on the ground for the safe operation of the flights which operate every Tuesday and Saturday.
The airline spokesman again apologised for any inconvenience the suspension of the Santa Cruz service may have incurred to its valued customers.
“We do need to reiterate the safety of both passengers and crew is paramount and we do not take these decisions lightly,” he said.
