Swoop to Inaugurate Service Between Edmonton and Abbotsford

Today Swoop released its domestic winter schedule and welcomed its third aircraft for the inaugural flight from Abbotsford International Airport to Edmonton International Airport, departing tomorrow at 7:10 a.m.

The new service between Edmonton and Abbotsfordwill be offered three-times daily.

The airline, which started operations on June 20, 2018 has been well received by Canadian travellers, with steady bookings and noticeably full flights.

“Swoop has been endorsed by Canadian travellers in the way that matters most, they are buying seats,” said Michael Claeren, Senior Leader of Revenue and Pricing. “With strong sales going into the fall and full aircraft throughout the summer, we are proud to offer non-stop ultra-low-cost flight options from coast-to-coast.”

The extended schedule continues to serve Swoop’s five markets of Halifax, Hamilton, Winnipeg, Edmonton and Abbotsford:

• Edmonton – Hamilton, 11 flights per week
• Edmonton – Abbotsford, 16 flights per week
• Hamilton – Halifax, 6 flights per week
• Hamilton – Winnipeg, 6 flights per week
• Hamilton – Abbotsford, 10 flights per week
