Tigerair Australia adds additional Melbourne-Coffs Harbour services

Tigerair Australia today announced an additional weekly return service between Melbourne and Coffs Harbour in response to increased demand for more low cost services to the region.

Due to increased demand, Tigerair Australia has also added a one off additional return service between Melbourne and Coffs Harbour on the Easter long weekend (Saturday 26 March, departing Melbourne at 9.40am and returning from Coffs Harbour at 12.00pm).

Tigerair Australia recently launched three weekly return services between the two popular destinations in December 2015 (Monday, Wednesday and Friday). Tigerair Australia Commercial Director, Adam Rowe, says today’s announcement of a new permanent Saturday service is fantastic news for consumers and tourism in both destinations.

“We’ve been pleased with demand for our services on the Melbourne-Coffs Harbour route since we first launched the route in December last year. The introduction of Saturday flights is in direct response to overwhelming demand from consumers and provides around 18,700 additional visitor seats annually through Coffs Harbour Airport,” said Mr Rowe.

Tigerair Australia first launched services between Sydney and Coffs Harbour in February 2013 as the airline’s first intrastate route. With the four weekly return services between Melbourne and Coffs Harbour and the three weekly return services between Sydney and Coffs Harbour, the airline will provide over 118,500 visitor seats annually through Coffs Harbour Airport.
