Torbjørn Wist Steps Down as SAS Chief Financial Officer

SAS today announced that Chief Financial Officer Torbjørn Wist has given notice that he will leave the company in September 2020 to take on the role as CFO of Wallenius Wilhelmsen.

SAS has initiated the process of finding his successor and Wist will continue in his current role during his notice period, or until a successor is in place.

Rickard Gustafson, SAS Chief Executive Officer, said:

“I would like to thank Torbjørn for his contribution over the last few years. Although I regret Torbjørn is leaving I do understand and respect his decision. We will immediately start the process to recruit a new CFO.”

Torbjørn Wist said:

“This has not been an easy decision given the current market turmoil, but this is a result of a process that started well before Covid-19 became a global issue. Let there be no doubt that my one and only priority in the coming months is to help ensure SAS’ continued role as a critical infrastructure provider in Scandinavia.”
