Transavia starts operating regular flights from Amsterdam to Munich and Zurich

Transavia continues to grow with new routes from Amsterdam.

Starting from February 2017, the airline will add regular services to Munich and Zurich with departure from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Transavia is the first low-cost airline connecting both these important economic regions with Amsterdam. The Dutch capital is the second Transavia home base in the Netherlands with direct flights to Munich, after Eindhoven Airport with its existing service of double daily flights.

“Our Dutch, German and Swiss customers have a clear need for a good-quality low-cost airline. Our flights to and from Munich and Zurich offer both business and leisure travellers an affordable alternative”, says Mattijs ten Brink, General Director of Transavia. “We are a newcomer to the German market, but we see that our name is getting more and more established since the founding of our home base in Munich last spring. Our customers from Bavaria are enthusiastic on our low-cost offer and our friendly service. We expect the same development in Switzerland.”

The destinations are an addition to the Transavia network for all types of customers. Not only will business travellers benefit from Transavia’s connection between Amsterdam and these two major economic regions, but leisure travellers will also gain easy access to the towns and surrounding areas. Both Munich and Zurich feature on the list of most popular and livable cities in Europe.
