Vietjet’s Third Quarter Profit Rises to US$131.9 Million

Vietjet reported an accumulated profit of US$131.9 million for the third quarter of 2017, a significant surge compared with the same period last year.  

Air transport revenue rose by 34.4% to US$270.4 million, and pre-tax profit increased year-on-year by 35.1% to US$46.4 million. As of 30 September 2017, Vietjet’s total assets was US$1.2 billion, up 57.39% year-on-year. The expansion of new routes and operating improvement of existing routes contributed to the rise of the airline’s revenue and profit.

Vietjet operates 38 domestic routes and 35 international routes, with On-Time Performance at 85.4% over the past nine months. In the fourth quarter, airline anticipates launching six new routes.
