Mexico City – Culiacán will start operations on December 13 with four flights per week; while Merida – Villahermosa begins flying on December 15 with two frequencies per week.

The seasonal routes, designed to meet the needs of passengers during the high demand corresponding to the end of the year, with a real low cost offer, take off on December 13 with two flights per week: Monterrey – Los Angeles will be available until January 2, and Puebla -Tuxtla Gutiérrez until January 3, 2019.

“These announcements are a very important step in our growth. We are pleased to inaugurate so many connections that besides from being distinguished by their low prices, they provide a service focused on customers and the experience of flying in one of the youngest fleets in the world. This makes us the best option to fly”, said Juan Carlos Zuazua, CEO of Viva Aerobus.

With these new routes, Viva Aerobus consolidates and strengthens itself as the operator that offers the most destinations from the following cities: Monterrey with 31 destinations; Mérida, Villahermosa, Tuxtla and Culiacán with 6; and Puebla with 5.

“These launches are a win-win for all. They grant new and accessible flight options that passengers deserve, encourage tourism and economic spillover in the destinations involved and promote competitiveness in the Mexican aeronautical sector”, pointed out Juan Carlos Zuazua.

Additionally, in line with this expansion strategy of Viva Aerobus, the airline celebrated the recent arrival of its new Airbus A320neo, which will support the operation of these routes. In this way, Viva´s fleet already consists of 27 aircraft: 22 Airbus A320ceo and 5 Airbus A320neo.

“It has been a very positive year for Viva Aerobus. In the first 8 months of the year, we have reported a 22% increase in passengers compared to 2017. This sustained growth is further strengthened with the new flights, adding up to 98 routes; nineteen of them that start operations in 2018 “, Zuazua added.
