VivaAerobus announces new flights to Tijuana

VivaAerobus has announced new flights from Tijuana to Mexico City and Guadalajara.

“The fact that VivaAerobus is coming to Tijuana will be a great benefit to the region. Today, over 60% of passenger traffic from Tijuana is concentrated on a single airline. Our smart, low-fare business model will drive down ticket prices and improve services, which is great news for consumers. We are really excited to bring the low fares revolution to Tijuana”, says Juan Carlos Zuazua, CEO of VivaAerobus.

The route Mexico City – Tijuana will commence operations on November 19 with double daily frequencies.

The Guadalajara – Tijuana flight will commence operations between December 18 and January 5 and it will increase to double daily frequencies from March 19.

Being the fifth most populated city in Mexico Tijuana also has the fifth busiest airport. VivaAerobus’ expansion to this border city marks the beginning of a new phase in the airlines’ network.

“We are arriving at Tijuana with everything needed to fly: new airplanes, multiple daily frequencies at excellent times, the cheapest fares and many changes we have been incorporating for our passengers such as Assigned Seating. But this isn’t all, in 2016 VivaAerobus plans to expand operations from Tijuana and we are currently evaluating new routes”, said Zuazua.

Additionally the Cross Border Xpress (CBX) project offers a never seen opportunity for an airline like VivaAerobus to reach many more consumers from San Diego and southern California due to increased demand stimulated by the new services. Mexican and American travelers will be able to connect in a simple way and at the best price thanks to VivaAerobus.
