Alaska Airlines to fly between Portland and Atlanta

Alaska Airlines today announced to employees gathered at a meeting in Portland that the company will begin daily, nonstop service between Portland, Oregon, and Atlanta starting June 4, through August 27, 2016.

Alaska previously served the route between August 2013 and Sept. 2014.

“Alaska Airlines continues to provide more options to our loyal Portland customer base,” said John Kirby, the airline’s VP of capacity planning.

“We are pleased to add seasonal Atlanta service to the growing list of non-stop destinations we offer from the Rose City.”

Flights will be operated by Next Generation 737 aircraft.
