Delta is linking Cleveland Hopkins International Airport with a nonstop flight beginning July 8 to its Salt Lake City hub, bringing customers direct access to the great leisure and business options along Utah’s capital region and many other great one-stop onward destinations.
Salt Lake City service marks the eighth Delta nonstop destination from Cleveland, bringing an increase of Delta peak-day departures to over 40 percent and seat levels by 100 percent in the last five years.
“We are thrilled that Delta Air Lines has chosen to add to their service offerings at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport with the launch of this service,” said Robert Kennedy, Airport Director. “Daily non-stop Salt Lake City service will also provide an opportunity for travelers to connect to additional destinations on the west coast through Delta’s Salt Lake City hub, opening up more opportunities for passengers throughout Northeast Ohio.”
For customers, the onboard Delta experience will be on Airbus A319 aircraft, with seating for 12 in First Class, 18 in Comfort+ and 102 in the main cabin.
In addition, Cleveland customers will have easy, one-connection access to 90 onward destinations across more than 240 daily departures from Delta’s SLC hub, including Intermountain West, West Coast, Hawaiian, Mexican and Canadian destinations.
“We are thrilled to welcome nonstop service between SLC and Cleveland,” said Bill Wyatt, Executive Director — Salt Lake City Department of Airports. “This new service helps to fill the gap in service between the Midwest and Utah, providing Clevelanders ease of access in time to enjoy the state’s national parks and many other outdoor events and activities Salt Lake City offers our summer visitors.”
