Iranian officials have admitted that its military “unintentionally” shot down a Ukraine International Airlines Boeing 737-800, killing all 176 people on board.
Javad Zarif, Iran’s foreign minister, said in a tweet that the accident happened during a “crisis caused by US adventurism”.

Iran had denied for several days that a missile downed the aircraft. But then the United States and the Canadian Governments, citing intelligence, said they believed Iran shot down the aircraft.
