S7 Airlines and Etihad Airways extend their partnership

S7 Airlines and Etihad Airways announced the extension of their code-share agreement.

From 16 January 2016 the airlines will operate code-share flights from Moscow to Singapore with a short connection at Abu Dhabi airport. Etihad Airways will operate the daily flight between Moscow and Abu Dhabi with Airbus A321 aircraft, configured with two classes. 

Etihad Airways passengers now have the possibility to travel to eight new destinations, as Etihad Airways code will appear on S7 Airlines flights from Moscow to Novosibirsk, Chelyabinsk, Krasnoyarsk, Novy Urengoy, Omsk, Perm, Rostov-on-Don and Sochi. 

S7 Airlines and Etihad Airways  are code-share partners since 2010. As a part of the current code-share agreement, the airlines offer flights from Moscow with a connection in Abu Dhabi to Sydney, Bangkok and Phuket, and also on certain routes between Russian cities.

Igor Veretennikov, S7 Group Strategy Director, said:

“Extension of this partnership will allow us to offer more travel opportunities for our passengers, adding to our route network such popular destination as Singapore. Moreover we will be glad to welcome Etihad Airways passengers on our domestic flights on eight popular routes”.

James Hogan, Etihad Airways President and General Director, said:

“Our company’s strategy is aimed at strengthening existing cooperation with partners. Etihad Airways highly estimates cooperation with S7 Airlines. Opening code-share flights demonstrates company’s interest in Russian market, and allows to offer to passengers a wider choice and convenience of trip planning”.
