Silver Airways and Azul introduce interline agreement

Silver Airways and Azul Brazilian Airlines signed a new interline ticketing partnership.

Under the agreement, travelers are now able to purchase a single ticket for flights to and from the more than 90 cities that Azul serves throughout Brazil, and to Silver Airways’ destinations throughout Florida and the Bahamas. Customers benefit by booking single ticket trips and combining flights on multiple carriers.

“We are proud to partner with yet another well-respected airline to provide customers with seamless travel options between Silver Airway’s extensive Florida/Bahamas network and Azul’s award-winning service throughout Brazil,” said Silver Airways President and CEO Sami Teittinen. “Silver looks forward to developing a deeper commercial relationship with Azul that even further enhances travel options for customers traveling between Florida and Brazil.”

“The interline with Silver Airways will be important for our customers to connect in the United States. As an airline with great regional power in Florida and Bahamas, Silver can also feed our flights to Brazil. This deal will amplify our presence in the international market and reinforce our brand outside of Brazil,” said Marcelo Bento, Azul’s Planning and Alliances Director.

This interline partnership brings many exciting Florida and Bahamian destinations within reach for Azul customers, including Orlando, Tampa, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Key West, Bimini, Grand Bahama (Freeport), North Eleuthera, Governor’s Harbour, the Abacos (Marsh Harbour and Treasure Cay), and Great Exuma (George Town). At the same time, Silver Airways’ customers benefit from easier interline access to Azul’s destinations throughout Brazil, including Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Brasilia.

Since emerging as an independent airline a few years ago, Silver Airways has continued to develop a diverse and growing portfolio of airline alliances that includes codeshare agreements with JetBlue and United Airlines, as well as interline agreements with American Airlines, US Airways, Delta Air Lines, Alaska Airlines, Avianca, Bahamasair, Hahn Air, and All Nippon Airways.
