TAP Portugal announced that its planned resumption of its service to Guinea-Bissau is delayed for a period of not less than 45 days, due to necessary operating conditions, that were not yet fulfilled.
An inspection of the airport’s security measures revealed glaring inadequacies.
The operation to Guinea-Bissau was scheduled for October 28th, operating three weekly flights from Lisbon on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
TAP suspended its normal operation to Guinea-Bissau in December last year after a flight to Lisbon was forced by authorities in Bissau to depart with 74 Syrians aboard, all of whom had forged documents.
