Thai Airways Resumes Normal Flight Operations to Europe

Thai Airways is resuming all flights to Europe after it cancelled a large number of flights yesterday, following the ongoing India and Pakistan conflict, which saw the sudden closure of Pakistan’s airspace to commercial flights.

The airline said in a statement:

“Thai Airways International would like to apologize to all its passengers for any inconvenience caused as a result of the sudden closure of Pakistani airspace due to rising tension between Pakistan and India situation. Thai Airways is pleased to announce that normal flight operations to Europe are now resumed through airspace outside Pakistan’s.”

Flight Lieutenant Pratana Patanasiri, Thai Airways Vice President, Aviation Safety, Security and Standards Department, said that to ensure the highest standard of operational safety, the airline received permission from the authority to operate its flights through the airspace of the Republic of China.

Furthermore, Thai Airways will operate flights TG507 and TG508 between Bangkok and Muscat but will not make a stopover in Karachi.  The airline has canceled flights TG345 and TG346 between Bangkok and Lahore today.
