Wizz Air announced today that it will base a second Airbus A320 aircraft at its Craiova base.
From March 2017 the airline will operate three new services from Craiova to Cologne in Germany, Liverpool in the United Kingdom and Madrid in Spain. The announcement follows the recent addition of Paris Beauvais and Venice Treviso to Wizz Air’s low-fare Craiova network.
The first Wizz Air flight took off from Craiova to London Luton in 2013 and just after a year of successful operations, Wizz Air based one of its new Airbus A320 at Craiova Airport.
With the new services, Wizz Air now offers a total of 10 routes to five countries from Craiova.
Speaking at a press conference in Craiova today, Johan Eidhagen, Chief Marketing Officer of Wizz Air, said:
